Speech & Language Rehabilitation

 

The Speech-Language Pathology section of the Rehabilitation Department evaluates and treats infants through adults who have difficulties with communication and swallowing.  In addition to providing individual communication disorder evaluations, Speech-Language Pathology offers highly specialized intervention as well as community information and family support through hospital outreach activities.

About Our Staff

Each of our speech-language pathologists is masters trained, certified through the American-Speech-Language-Hearing-Association and licensed to practice speech-language pathology in the state of Florida.  We provide clinical care, teach families and other professionals and participate in the training of future professionals from various university programs.  Our staff participates in many continuing education activities, both at the hospital and at other sites, to assure that we provide the most up-to-date, research-based care available.
