Baby Care Basics: Newborn Care and Comfort

Although babies don’t come with an instruction manual, we can share some helpful information about caring for your newborn! The Baby Care Basics class covers a variety of topics such as diapering, feeding, bathing and soothing baby. Parents will feel more confident and ready to take home their newest family member.

Breastfeeding: Health Benefits for Mom and Baby

Taught by a certified lactation professional, this class will help parents make informed decisions about feeding their baby. This class covers the health benefits of breastfeeding for mom and baby, comfort latch and positioning techniques and receive guidance on using a breast pump. In addition, parents can learn about resources for support and assistance, strategies for working moms and other tips for success. Both parents are encouraged to attend.

Birth Education: LAMAZE

This one-day class has been divided into two consecutive Satrudays and offers information about childbirth. Both parents will learn about birth, comfort techniques, pain control options and medical interventions as well as post birth care.

Safe Baby: Prepare, Prevent & Respond

The Safe Baby class is designed for new and expectant parents, as well as others who care for babies to increase awareness of safe practices and what to do in the event of an emergency. Topics include safe sleep and injury prevention from birth through 12 months of age. In addition, participants will have an opportunity to practice proper CPR techniques with the guidance of an experienced instructor on  Zoom.
