Former University of Miami Professor Known for His Robotic Surgery Work in Treating Prostate Cancer, Kidney- and Stone Disease Relocates to Palm Beach County
(Boynton Beach, FL --) One in seven men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer in their lifetime. Raymond J. Leveillee, M.D., internationally acclaimed for his work in complex urologic care, is bringing his expertise to Palm Beach County to change the odds.
As the former Chief of the Division of Endourology and Laparoscopy at the University of Miami, Leveillee has relocated his practice to head Bethesda Health’s Center for Advanced Robotics and Urologic Care in Boynton Beach, FL. Leveillee, who is Board Certified and Fellowship-trained in Urology from the University of Minnesota, will oversee the Center’s programs for treating prostate and kidney cancer, as well as renal cell cancers and stone disease. Leveillee’s clinical interests include laparoscopic surgery, endourology, stone treatment, minimally invasive techniques for urologic disease and general urology. His research interests include instrumentation for stone disease, ablative therapies for kidney cancer, robotics and laparoscopic reconstruction.
Among his numerous honors, Dr. Leveillee was just appointed to serve on a new committee of the American Urological Association for kidney and adrenal health.
