The Eloise Kimmelman Foundation Center for Interventional Treatment and Research Offers Minimally Invasive Procedures for Endovascular and Cardiac Care
\
(Boynton Beach, FL) Bethesda Health celebrated the opening of The Eloise Kimmelman Foundation Center for Interventional Treatment and Research with a special ribbon cutting ceremony and reception on Wednesday, April 8 at Bethesda Hospital West.
Guests were treated to a tour of this new $3.6 million state-of-the-art surgical suite that offers minimally invasive procedures for endovascular and cardiac care. It is a unique hybrid operating room capable of diagnostic cardiac catheterizations, endovascular procedures and interventional radiology procedures. It is an expansion of the endovascular services at Bethesda Hospital East in The Walter S. and Lucienne Driskill Endovascular Center. This is the first expansion at Bethesda Hospital West since its opening in January 2013.
The Bethesda Hospital Foundation is delighted to recognize the generous donation of $1.8 million from the Eloise Kimmelman Foundation for the creation of this hybrid endovascular and cardiac catheterization suite. Eloise and David Kimmelman were supporters of healthcare in our community for many years. Their estate was used to create the Eloise Kimmelman Foundation, a charitable organization devoted to funding education and medical treatment for cardiovascular and vascular disease.
The Bethesda Hospital Foundation also recognizes and thanks other donors who have stepped forward to support life-saving endovascular care at Bethesda: Mrs. Mary Ella Alfring, Mr. Craig E. Lundberg, Mr. and Mrs. Buzz Newton, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Howard and the Thomas F. Staley Foundation.
