What is the Ripley Early Learning Center ?

The Ripley Early Learning Center (Ripley ELC) was developed to provide child care services for the employees Affiliates (Physicians and employee's grandchildren) of Bethesda Health. The center offers a progressive educational and developmental program in a warm nurturing environment for children ages 6 weeks through 5 years old.

What are the hours of operation?

The Ripley ELC operation hours are from Monday to Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

How old does my child have to be?

The Ripley ELC provides care for babies (6 weeks) to Pre-Kindergarteners (5 years old).

Are snacks and/or meals provided?

Healthy snacks are provided twice a day, free of charge. Menus are posted outside each classroom.

What kind of program is offered at the Ripley ELC?

As its name suggests, the Ripley ELC is not a baby-sitting service; it is a place of learning. The staff members are not only "caregivers" but also trained educators. All of our teachers are certified and/or Child Development Associate (CDA) credited. The Ripley ELC is licensed by the Palm Beach County Health Department.

Does an employee get a discount for having multiple children attend the Ripley ELC?

For employees with multiple children, the Ripley ELC offers a 10% discount applicable to the older child/children.

The Ripley ELC participates in the subsidized program through the Palm Beach Early Learning Coalition. Financial assistance is available through a limited scholarship program (funded by the Auxiliary of Bethesda Hospital fund) for qualifying employees.
