Support & Care
Learning to Cope
Bethesda offers many programs and support services for patients and the community to learn more about cancer, prevention, early detection, treatment and recovery. Our oncology resource coordinators offer an array of support groups to assist patients, their families, and friends in coping with the changes that come with a diagnosis of cancer.
Knowledge is Power
In addition, Bethesda physicians participate in the hospitals Community Lecture Series to share with the community information about the latest advancements in cancer detection, treatments and research.
Throughout the year, the community will be invited to join the Bethesda Comprehensive Cancer Center for special cancer-related events. Whether Bethesda is hosting the event, or participating as a sponsor, our team is proud to play a role in building awareness about cancer risks, early detection and recent research.
In addition to support groups, the Bethesda Comprehensive Cancer Center offers resources to help the community learn more about cancer. Cancer Answers is a nationwide, toll-free service staffed by registered nurses who specialize in cancer prevention, early detection and treatment options. Cancer Answers is provided in cooperation with the H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center & Research Institute.
