Meet Matthew J. D'Alessio, M.D.

Matthew J. D'Alessio, M.D. brings expertise in the areas of Surgical Oncology and Minimally Invasive Surgery to Palm Beach County and the South Florida community. Dr. D'Alessio specializes in cancer surgery and minimally-invasive surgery of the abdomen and digestive organs. His clinical interests include liver cancer, pancreatic cancer, gallbladder cancer, bile duct cancer, colon cancer, rectal cancer, stomach cancer, as well as sarcoma and melanoma.
Dr. D'Alessio earned his medical degree from the University of Florida College of Medicine and completed his residency in General Surgery at Boston University Medical Center. Dr. D'Alessio completed a research fellowship in Colorectal Cancer at the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York City. After his residency, Dr. D'Alessio pursued subspecialty training in Minimally Invasive and Advanced Gastrointestinal Surgery at the University of South Florida. Dr. D'Alessio successfully completed a fellowship in Surgical Oncology at the University of Pittsburgh in 2006.
Dr. D'Alessio is Board Certified by the American Board of Surgery, and Certified in Surgical Oncology by the Society of Surgical Oncology. His professional memberships include the Florida Medical Association and the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. He has published extensively in prestigious medical journals and has given presentations at national meetings.
Dr. D'Alessio's practice, Advanced Cancer Surgery and Digestive Health, is located in the Palm Coast Surgical Building at 229 George Bush Boulevard, Delray Beach, FL. He is currently seeing new office patients and inpatient consultations, and accepts Medicare and most major insurance plans.

at Bethesda. Dr. Jakos is the Lead Physician at Pediatric Associates
located at Bethesda Health City in Boynton Beach.
Dr. Jakos attended the University of Buenos Aires in Argentina
where he received his medical degree. He completed his residency
in pediatrics at SUNY Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse, NY.
Dr. Jakos is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. He is also fluent in Slovenian and Spanish.

Dr. Macia attended the University of Texas where he received his Bachelor's degree and attended East Texas State University where he received his Master's degree. He received his medical degree from Escuela Autonoma de Ciencias Medica in San Jose, Costa Rica. He completed his residency in family medicine at Wayne State University in Detroit, MI.
