Multimodality Breast Clinic

A compassionate, team approach to multidisciplinary breast cancer care

Bethesda's Multimodality Breast Clinic, in conjunction with the Bethesda Comprehensive Cancer Center, is dedicated to providing comprehensive, compassionate and individualized care for patients diagnosed with breast cancer.

Comprised of Board Certified physicians in varying cancer-related specialties from Bethesda's Medical Staff, the Multimodality Breast Clinic is a convenient, all-in-one appointment to help patients:

  • Understand their treatment options to make informed decisions
  • Ask questions of experienced, breast cancer specialists
  • Develop a multi-specialty, comprehensive plan of care

Patients participating in the Multimodality Breast Clinic will meet with a medical oncologist, radiation oncologist, radiologist and surgeon. After evaluating the patient, the physicians meet to develop an individualized coordinated plan of care for each patient.

Patients will know in advance the physicians they will be meeting with during their appointment. They are welcome, and encouraged to bring family or friends to their appointment for support.

The appointment process is as follows:

  1. Physicians meet with radiologist to review the patient's imaging studies.
  2. Patients meet with each physician individually.
  3. Physicians meet a second time to review and update treatment plan.
  4. The final plan is presented to the patient by the team of physicians.

The Multimodality Breast Clinic takes place every Monday from 3:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Bethesda Women's Health Center located at Bethesda Health City, 10301 Hagen Ranch Road, Entrance A, suite 920.

A physician referral is not required, and most fees are covered by insurance. To make an appointment, call 561.374.5312.

Seeking a second opinion?
The physicians of the Multimodality Breast Clinic welcome the opportunity to provide second opinions. Patients are under no obligation, if they choose another physician for their care.
