Bethesda is recognized as a leading performer by VHA Southeast by demonstrating high levels of clinical performance and improvement for quality and safety measures. It's easy to see why Bethesda received this recognition when you review some of our recent accomplishments.
Bethesda’s Medical Staff and Clinical teams continue to evaluate and implement evidenced based best practice medical care to improve community outcomes for healthcare. We’re building these best practices into all of our processes including our electronic medical record debuting this fall.
Quality Reporting Initiatives
As part of our ongoing efforts to improve patient safety and quality of care, Bethesda Memorial Hospital participates in National Quality Reporting Initiatives through CMS-Medicare, the Institute for Healthcare Improvements 100,000 Lives Campaign, and the National Hospital Quality Alliance and Core Measures project of The Joint Commission.
These organizations have defined changes and measures that have been demonstrated to reduce harm and save lives. Bethesda participates in the following National Quality Reporting Initiatives impacting thousands of lives:
