Audiology & Hearing Testing
The Audiology Division of Bethesda Outpatient Rehabilitation provides full hearing services for patients of all ages. In addition to providing individual diagnostic hearing and vestibular evaluations, Audiology offers highly specialized hearing aid fitting, dispensing and follow-up. We work with a wide variety of hearing aid manufacturers to match each patient's needs to the appropriate, state-of-the-art hearing aid. Additional assistive listening devices may also be dispensed. We further serve our community through the provision of information and family support at various hospital outreach activities.
Affecting 31 million Americans, hearing loss is the third most common health problem in the United States. It is often associated with aging, yet more than 15 million of those affected are under the age of 65. Symptoms can often go unrecognized for seven to ten years.
